Tao House, located in the hills above Danville (near Pleasanton), is the serene, Spanish Colonial Revival home where Nobel Prize-winning playwright Eugene O’Neill wrote his final masterpieces, including Long Day’s Journey into Night. Built in 1937, this National Historic Site features East Asian-inspired design elements, deep blue ceilings, and red doors, serving as a tranquil retreat.
