Experience a different kind of wine tasting during the Livermore Valley Barrel Tasting Weekend, a celebration of exceptional winemaking and friendly hospitality. This immersive event invites you to explore the flavors of the Livermore Valley while savoring exclusive barrel samples and bottled wine tastings from some of the region’s finest wineries.
On March 28th and 29th, participating wineries will open their doors, each offering barrel samples and bottled wine samples, giving you a glimpse into the past, present, and future of their handcrafted creations. The event spans a variety of locations, with each winery showcasing its unique style, character, and dedication to the craft of winemaking. Over 20 participating wineries Wood Family Vineyards.
We will be sampling the the 2024 Merlot, 2024 “Big Wood” Zinfandel, and 2024 “Muy Buneo” Zinfandel.
Guests will enjoy these wines directly from the barrel, along with three other wines as a part of a six-pour flight.
On Saturday, we will have Marty’s Joint on site to provide great food options. Mi Distinctive Taste will be here selling delicious olive oils and vinegars.
Wood Family Vineyards Club Members can taste for free at our location. Non-Club Members can taste for $30. Each bottle purchase is credited $10 up to the price of entry.

We will also be selling futures of the wines being tasted from the barrel. Guests can purchase these wines at 25% off 6 bottles, or 35% off 12 bottles or more. Wine purchased as futures will be available much earlier than their official release date(s) for pickup.
