Livermore Public Library welcomes artist and author Kenneth Tan for an engaging, beginner-friendly class on drawing banigs, the traditional woven mats of the Philippines. In this workshop, participants will explore a variety of line patterns inspired by Filipino weaving and tattoo designs. Attendees will then apply these patterns to create their own distinctive banig illustration.
This program celebrates Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AANHPI).
This event will take place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the Civic Center Library Community Room, 1188 S. Livermore Ave.
